2024 Say on Pay Reports S&P 500 and Russell 3000 Failure Rate & Pay Vote Analysis

2024 year-to-date Say on Pay failure rate is well below average

Two Russell 3000 companies (0.3%) have failed Say on Pay thus far in 2024. Average Say on Pay support for Russell 3000 companies (92.3%) thus far in 2024 is 90 basis points higher than the average support at this time last year.

Average Say on Pay support for the S&P 500 (90.8%) is 150 basis points lower than Russell 3000 average early in the 2024 proxy season. The divergence of S&P 500 and Russell 3000 vote support is a trend observed over the last four years.

There have been 32 environmental proposals and 97 social proposals thus far. One environmental proposal passed with 57% support.
